Dollar General isn't a Dollar Store, they call it dollar general because they always round down so that the price always ends in a 5 or a 0. We get a bunch of things that are much much cheaper than Walmart. We have an Atari Flashback 3 that'll be 25 dollars tomorrow and it's 80 dollars everywhere else. Ihave no idea how we get the prices so low. It kind of makes me pissed, because I'll want to buy something at Walmart and remember we have the same thing for 2 dollars less. I'm about to quit there though, they cut my hours big time for no reason and minimum wage just isn't enough to deal with bullshit.

This year Best Buy is handing out tickets for items in the line a couple of hours before they open.
So if you want the item, you have to get a ticket from the line. If they run out of tickets, that means they're out of stock.
Smart idea in theory. I'd like to see if it has any effect on the brutality of the night or not.

How will tickets be provided prior to store opening?

A line of customers will form outside of Best Buy stores and tickets will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
In most cases, tickets will be handed out by store personnel prior to store opening.
Best Buy reserves the right to refuse to provide a ticket or service to anyone at Best Buy's sole discretion.
Best Buy will cancel ticketing and line formation if customer participation is deemed unlawful by local law enforcement agencies.

How many tickets can each customer get?

Each customer is eligible to receive one ticket per applicable item. If a customer wants to purchase 10 different items, then he or she is eligible to receive one ticket (if applicable) for each of those 10 items.
All customers in line are eligible to receive a ticket based on ticket availability.
Customers are not required to be an adult (age 18 or older) in order to receive a ticket.

By what time is a customer required to redeem the ticket?

Each ticket includes a time deadline for when it must be redeemed.
Why is it necessary to have a ticket to purchase select products?

Ticketing will help to ensure the safety of both Best Buy customers and employees when the stores open. Tickets also help to ensure that those customers who arrive first can purchase the products they want.

In other words you should reallocate all your Stampeding Skills into Bartering Skills.

I was thinking of getting more memory, I only have 2 gigs now.

But then I found out that my mobo is old and using DDR2 which is now still expensive and outdated as fuck. Should I maybe just look into a new mobo?

I tell all the new guys to not sell ticketed items until the line dies down for some time. If someone is getting multiple items, it means multiple trips throught the lines, and we have about 5 lines at my best buy.

After some time, we sell the ticketed items. And since we already gave them out, everyone else is informed that they have to get something else. On that day, more than any other, the staff and management will not care about what "Dave" told you about holding something for you.

We get seasonal shit for BF, but you see some good deals on monitors, hard drives, lap tops, etc. Both BFs I worked were nonstop checkouts from 530am to ~11am. That was years ago and in a high income area with nearest Best Buys / Fry's being 30+ miles away. No idea what they'd be like now.

Live on the East Side of Washington traffic might be a little bad at times but people conduct themselves appropriately in stores on Black Friday. Hell I even had random strangers go "Hey you should get over to x I just got y for only z".

Hopefully they have 3DS cheap somewhere have some extra money and wanted to try out a few games and play ones that are coming soon that I really wanted to play.
I've accidently walked out of a mall with $300 pair of sunglasses because my friend told me we should check out this other place and I was just trying them out to see if their style suited me (can usually get a knock off pair that look the same for $10 at amazon)

I'll just not answer if that's the case probably, or say I'm out of state for the holiday. I went last year as a customer and it wasn't violent, but the store is small.
