so I'm guessing this isn't going to last much longer now that it's got a... reputation. No matter how decent it is.
nice job cn you really nailed it, push away a show people like and make them hate your brand new show simultaneously
Question which everyone is asking about this show: WHERE THE FUCK IS EPISODE 8?
I had found a link to episode 8 yesterday, enjoyed it a lot despite the poor quality and excessive size.
Was looking foward start a thread today and share with whoever's around that likes the show.
But the whole shit CN pulled depressed me.
Give me a moment, will search the links.
I liked the moments between Astrid and Hiccup.
Fishlegs also stands out. The friendship he has been developing with Astrid and Hiccup is starting to show.
So did people like this show? What's the concensus? Knowing CN didn't want to butcher the property like Nick did with KFP I was having hopes, but I haven't really heard anything promising.
I can't fucking stand the voice of the main protagonist in this show. Such a bland, monotone, and emotionless voice
I haven't been paying much attention to CN lately, what does this show have a reputation for?
Depends on what you like.
What I wanted out of the show was character stuff from the ensemble, which I think it delivers (not to the extent I wanted, but I still think what it gives is great).
Most of /co/ wanted action, adventure and exploring, of which so far has delivered very little.
It's fine. Got off to a rocky start (wasn't unwatchable just bland and sort of redundant) but the recent episodes are a definite improvement.
...Considering CN's bullshit though I don't know how much more we'll be seeing. Kind of a shame.
The DC Nation fiasco. CN pulled DC Nation from its time slot and replaced it with Dragons with essentially no notice whatsoever.
/co/ has been labeling it as boring and dreamworks pandering.
And then CN decided to put DC Nation on hiatus and replace it with 1 hour of DROB.
I was pissed off, becasue I like GLTAS a lot (my favourite show this year).
To make things worse, the Dragons episodes are reruns, and they are out of order to boot.
>>41714331>just bland and sort of redundant
I never thought so.
I like how it makes the transition of Berk from "we kill dragons" to "we like dragons" more natural.
Don't get me wrong, I love the ending of the movie, but it's a bit too perfect and it takes away from Hiccup's acomplishment when all of Berk suddenly became acostumed to the dragons while he was in coma.
Whoa, so they stopped airing Green Lantern and Young Justice without any warning?
Oh no I agree with you. Thing is that realistic doesn't necessarily make for good entertainment; we ended up with several episodes covering basically the same ground one after another.
I like that they incorporated those elements into the show, and I like the show generally. I think those episodes, even if they're weaker, do have some really nice moments in them.
But having three or four on the same basic issue wasn't really necessary.
Exactly. And because they put Dragons in its time slot, it's been receiving a fair amount of misplaced hatred.
I just don't see that complain.
The first episode introdues the conflict and Hiccup's solution.
The second deals with Gobber's personal problems (and I thought the stuff he did in the episode was hillarious and good character moments).
The third rethreads the conflict but from a different perspective, with focus on the dragons and development in the kids dynamics.
Then the fourth has no berk conflict at all, instead introducing the first of the new species and doing some drama with Hiccup and Toothless.
The Berk conflict comes back for the last time to make Mildew a clear cut dick and set Alvin's introduction.
After Alvin, they start focusing exclusively on character development.
8 episodes out of a 20 episode season. 4 spaced epsidoes to set the new status quo.
I think they couldn't be handling the issue better.
(53.04 KB, 720x404)
Astrid and Ruffnut seemed rather wet for buff manly Hiccup.
It was a very gar portrait.
I quite liked Astrid's talks with Hiccup after the portrait joke.
Those little moments they've had through the eight episodes are great.
(253.28 KB, 466x450)
what was wrong with KFP?
I fucking zerged that show. loved it.
I've only seen one episode and I thought it was okay, but apparently a lot of people think it's too formulaic
It's funny, but it doesn't have the same heart as the movies, what with the dickish things Po does from time to time.
Don't get me wrong; I didn't hate those episodes or anything. I get the conflicts they introduced. I liked them.
The main complaint from /co/ is that the lessons the episodes teach are repetitive. And I can see that; they basically center around the dragons messing something up and Hiccup having to fix it.
Execution is okay. But it gets a little stale by nature.
I LIKE Dragons. But I like it more now that things are getting a little more adventurous.
>>41715514>But I like it more now that things are getting a little more adventurous.
Don't deny it.
These last few episodes have also had the best character development moments.
The future looks promising. Here comes Heather... The shitstrom will be epic.
" it's Viking tradition to name the runt of the litter a Hiccup "
that's kind of sad actually
Berk Vikings care very little about stuff like that.
There had been two more Hiccup Haddocks before. I very much doubt they were the black sheeps, like Hiccup was considered in the past.
And there's that other viking whose name I'm forgetting right now.
>>41715657I'm actually really looking forward to seeing what happens when she shows up. Could be really interesting.
I dunno where I sand.I have a gutt feeling that she's going to be Alvin's mole. And this is totally independent of my feelings towards Hiccstrid. But then again, if she isn't evil and cares about Hiccup genuinely, this could jumpstart intresting feelings in Astrid.
>>41715992she very well could be. I just hope that if she is, they don't make it painfully obvious. But yes whether or not she is I think there's the potential for some interesting stuff
I'm dissapointed in the Hiccstrid fans that have blown a gasket over this.
They don't have any faith in the strong relationship that developed between Hiccup and Astrid.
I want pictures, pictures of Hiccup's new leg!
(236.13 KB, 1589x861)
I kind of like how they try to give the protagonist dragons beside Toothless a personality.
Though so far only Hookfang and Meatlog got clearly visible ones.
Hookfang is a bit of a ditz but clearly cares about Snoutlout even if he forgets him sometimes or uses him as object.
Meatlog seems to think of Fishleg as something like one of her children, which seems kind of fitting given his build.
Bulch and Barf just bicker like the twins, thought we don't know if that is normal for Zippelbacks.
Hookfang meanwhile... well she shoots darts, that's all she did so far.
To be fair, their relationship in the film is a point of controversy. And the show seems to portray her as more of a close friend/confidant than a girlfriend.
Of course Heather's appearance may prove where they really stand
burk is british slang for idiot
they are riders of idiot
I'm suprised anyone even remembers their names.
Its like /co/ doesn't realize that for the most part, /co/ is the only group of people really watching most of those comic book themed cartoons. For the general public, if it's not Batman or Superman, it's a big fat meh. I know /co/ hates it, but Dragons has the HTTYD movie franchise to keep viewers interested, and by the time the rating slump low, the next HTTYD sequel will come out.
The entertainment industry is not owned by stuff that is "good" it is owned by stuff that SELLS. Which is how crap like Transformers can be a blockbuster and Dredd won't even make back it's budget.
That said, I never cared for ANY of the shows involved, but I know how shitty it is when your fav show gets canned or suddenly disappears from the station. The only thing I can recommend is what I've been doing for Tron Uprising and Motorcity, get as many people watching as possible, if the ratings survive a hiatus it's more likely to be kept.
>>41716716>Hookfang is a bit of a ditz but clearly cares about Snoutlout even if he forgets him sometimes or uses him as object.
Honestly, I never get any sense that Hookfang likes him. Quite the opposite, he either ignores him, doesn't care about him, or physically harms him. He seems more like he's trying to tolerate Snoutlout, then actually bonding with him.
I don't expect much from the Zipplebacks, though, seeing as how the twins are also really painfully underdevloped.
He forgot Stormfly's name, if it helps.
>>41716911>I know /co/ hates it
Eh I wouldn't say that necessarily. Whenever I see a thread about this show there's maybe one or two people who express real dislike.
I think /co/ is more indifferent about it than anything.
Yeah, the biggest complain I have with the show is how little they do with the twins and the Zippleback.
Stormfly could use chracterization, but she at least gets to be badass with Astrid ocationally.
Man, I want them to tease Rufflegs SO FUCKING BAD!
(358.38 KB, 1600x900)
Agreed, Hookfang rather seems to see Snoutlout as a responcibility than a friend, which would explain not noticing him falling off but still saving him once he was made aware of him being missing.
Snoutloud is most likely more occupied telling everyone what a great team they are in order to immitate Hicups success than to bond with his dragon. The moment he showed how much he cares for Hookfang he right away tried to play it down, which clearly annoyed the dragon.
Also agreed the Twins could need a bit more to do. Though in terms of their dragon there is the interesting implication that it's the only thing they truely share and care about equaly rather than constantly fight about.
>>41716911>The only thing I can recommend is what I've been doing for Tron Uprising and Motorcity, get as many people watching as possible, if the ratings survive a hiatus it's more likely to be kept.
I don't want to see Dragons go; it's a decent show that's been getting better, and I think it deserves more time to improve... But I'm thinking it might be too late. CN is fucking around with the schedule again (there's a rerun in its time slot the week after next?) and the stunt they pulled today probably ruined its chances.
Oh shit, you are right i used Hookfang twice instead of using Stormfly. Yeah made a mistake.
It totally isn't.
She clearly likes him, in the movie, and even in the show. She just doesn't move foward, same as Hiccup.
I see the kisses in the movie as a spur of the moment kind of thing.
And the movie handles her being a confidant well, that's solid foundation for the relationship (which in the movies is taking its first baby steps).
I remember all of them but the twins.
I had no idea they had been named.
Well it only comes up once in 8 episode so far in episode 2 when Ruffnut tells it to fire at the other team.
All other Dragons are constantly named over the series and the short movie.
Nah, Hookfang does show moments of genuine care for Snotlout, but they are understated compared to his usual nonchalance.
I do too.
Not because I care about shipping but because Ruffnut could REALLY fucking use a distinct character trait by now.
Remember that joke in the show where Snoutlout asks if Tuffnut is the boy or the girl? It's not hard to see why he get's them mixed up.
(64.82 KB, 1600x894)
This bugs me. One sudden stop and she gets a face full of spikes.
Astird can deal with those spikes. She's badass.
I more or less agree with you, all I was saying is that some people thought their relationship in the film was underdeveloped/'tacked on'.
Wait, did they air a NEW episode today? Or was it just reruns?
Just reruns. Which makes it worse.
The reran the eigth episode (laterst), followed by the third.
haven't you fucking learned ANYTHING from today OP?
If anything, Dragons "reputation" will make it a fortune.
Not really. If it's just reruns then they essentially used Dragons to fill in the timeslot (which isn't as good as using reruns of the old show, but still). If they aired new episodes, then they'd be angering current DC Nation fans and alienating Dragons fans with the unexpected change.
(304.31 KB, 1280x720)
I really like how the show has been building these two as friends.
Hope we see Fishlegs recieve the spotlight more in the future.
how so? maybe for today, but all CN has seemed to manage is piss people off and cause a potential boycott of it in the future
On top of which CN can't keep even this show's schedule consistent.
(87.49 KB, 1280x720)
So, anybody glad they are giving Stoick more screentime? Guy's awesome, and I don't really like how he was more a placeholder to put tension into whatever the problem was in the first few episodes "Can't keep your dragons blahblah"/
But watching him get his own dragon was great, and really gave us a sense of who he is and why he does what he does, better than the movie did, in some cases. This current episode also really helped, and it's always fun to learn about crazy shit he did as a younger man.
oh believe me, DC Nation fans are plenty angry. In fact I'd say they are flat insulted over the fact that they didn't even bother to replace it with new Dragons episodes.
What happened? What reputation?
First off if you haven't notice its the shows tat piss /co/ off that are doing well.
But even if thats not the case all of our fellow anon Autists are busy right now watching this show to learn more about it to bitch about it. Look at this thread right fucking now, before today /co/ had very few threads about it.
lets see how many threads we get this week or next shall we?
DC Nation fans should be mad regardless. But the fact is that because the episodes were only reruns the Dragons fans aren't being left in the cold when they tune in Wednesday and find no new episode.
I like Kung fu Panda. Occasionally.
>>41718124>Hope we see Fishlegs recieve the spotlight more in the future.
I kinda... don't. Guy's actually creeping me out a bit with how he talks to his dragon. Makes her sound more like an action figure or something when describing her, and the obsessive thing from that egg special has not gone away.
Good, great news for Dragons.
and so nasally.
(360.34 KB, 500x500)
I loved that scene so much.
Also the talk afterwards, even when it was when every shipper began complaining.
(202.81 KB, 1920x1072)
A flashback episode about one of Stoic and Gobber's adventures would be great. Perhaps even in the style of the Boneknapper flashback.
I actually liked his characterization in those first episodes. The guy clearly was trying to give the dragons a chance, and Hiccup oportunities to solve problems, but he is still the chief first, and he has to consider the villagers' input.
I don't know where you get your information on, but not a lot of people here actually HATE Dragons. Rather they just don't seem to care about it enough to come to the premiere threads or make any other threads about it, really. Sort of like Kung Fu Panda and Penguins, I guess.
Intresting. I find their quirks endearing.
You can be sure as hell Meatlug wouldn't allow herself to be doted that way or dote Fishlegs like that if she didn't care.
Their relationship is probably the closest in the academy outside of Hiccups.
(36.83 KB, 354x516)
I like Astrid more and more with each little mannerism she displays.
Pretty much, the amount of indifierence means I have been out of the loop and have to scarvenge for liks from whenever because nobody here will say anything.
DC Nation was pulled and replaced by Dragons today, everyone's bent out of shape.
animeflavor usually has them up pretty quick.
Dragons AND Johnny test.
You can't leave out that other thing.
Because that's pissing off way more people than Dragons is.
(246.25 KB, 1920x1072)
...what's wrong with her eyes?
Go a little off model there, animator?
It's really bugging me. It makes the picture go from a "eeeee!" to a "Durrrrr!"
I can't unsee it!
It's the teeth, for me. They kind of send the screenshot into one of those uncanny valley, realistic cartoon things I think.
(275.00 KB, 1920x1072)
I've got a friend who likes derpy cartoon faces on girls.
Thanks for giving me something to give to him.
The teeth help, but look at her eyelids. The one under her hair is wider than the other one, and they aren't looking exactly in the same direction. She looks like someone making fun of someone for being stupid.
"Durr, I'm Hiccup! I've gots daddy issues and my first girlfriend was a dragon! DURRR!"
And Hiccup is just pretending not to care.
And now I can't stop hearing Jim Carry as the mask.
Thanks a bunch.
Oh, yeah. That is kind of creepy. And she's totally just one bottom-lip-over-her-teeth away from that faux-retarded look.
But Riders of burk isn't too bad, why would people hate the show itself and not the assholes that replaced their shows?
You're watching a still frame of a very fast paced animation.
I think she looks beautiful there. Love the teeth.
Most people probably don't, but it turns out a small portion of /co/ are rage-babies.
(147.81 KB, 500x281)
This is some bullshit right here.jpg

...Oh my god I can hear it!
"SSSOMEBODY STOP ME!"
I'm upset that I got up early on a Saturday.
>>41719520>I got up early>10/9 Central
Why I remember when I was young I had to get up at SIX THIRTY to watch Pokemon on Saturdays! Kids today have it too easy.
You WERE right.
Now YJ austistics will start watching the show and play catch up solely to complain.
Screencap this: by next week sometime your going to see this as OP:
"Well I just caught up on this show, and I have to say how can abybody like this stuff..."
(424.02 KB, 1600x900)
Thank god i'm not the only one who noticed and got bothered by it.
Talking about violence against woman, anyone else thought it was silly how they cut away at this scene, i mean kicking a boy in the ass is okay but not a girl?
(191.87 KB, 500x281)
(210.27 KB, 500x281)
The show doesn't shy of hitting Ruffnut on other ocations, so it was probably pacing issues.
(183.01 KB, 500x281)
(170.12 KB, 500x281)
well one sudden airbornness on her part and the dragon gets tons of spikes from her pants
So THAT'S why she wears that.>"If I die by running into these fucking spikes, I swear to god I am going to make Stormfly regret it."
(46.62 KB, 638x569)
pretty much sums up how everyone feels about cartoon network after today
(982.34 KB, 500x205)
Bucket is the best thing to come out of this show, just saying.
So in the next movie, is Stoick going to have that one stormblower dragon or whatever?
He seems neat.
And I love just how much of a badass Stoick is that he can beat up dragons with his bare hands.
The writing on this show is bad. Just flat out uninspired.
(271.51 KB, 1280x720)
DipChit detected, get the fuck out.
Just kidding, but I wouldn't be surprised
been improving. the Thunderdrum episode in particular was pretty good if you ask me.
(883.54 KB, 245x270)
I don't give a fuck about capecartoons. I wanted to like this new show too. Unfortunately the doesn't seem to be any plot, other than childish stuff. The characters are shallow and stereotypical.
(237.14 KB, 1322x1269)
And he does it for fun.
HE DOES IT FOR FUN.
DAMN he's manly.
Well, get out then.
(16.52 KB, 179x199)
They look super cute together, please tell me the show has more of them
Not really. Any interactions are really underplayed.
(796.73 KB, 245x270)
They are not an official couple yet. Astrid is afraid to move foward, and Hiccup insn't pressing the issue either.
But they have at least one meaningful moment per episode.
(1004.40 KB, 1152x648)
Look at your man, now back to me, now back at your man, now back to me.
Sadly, he isn't me.
But if he stopped being a little puss and started punching dragons with his bare hands he could seem like he's me.
Look down, back up, where are you?
You're on a longboat with the viking your man could be like.
What's that in your hand, back at me, I have it.
It's a cup made from the skull of your enemy.
Look again, the skull is now a battleaxe.
Anything is possible when your man's a viking and not a giant pussy.
I'm on a Thunder Drum.
(80.13 KB, 413x395)
Alright, I chuckled.
Only a little bit though
...Didn't Gobber partner with that Boneknapper dragon?
It's been a while since I saw that special.
No, he partnered with the yak
some people think so but I don't think it was ever really confirmed, the way I see it they just reconciled. We haven't seen it in the show, in any case.
That special bothered the hell out of me.>Let's help Gobber go find this mysterious dragon!>Should we, you know, bring our dragons? Seems like Toothless would be helpful in this situation.>Nah, we've got this. Not even a thing.>I also feel like we are ignoring the fact that, on the whole, we're pretty cool with dragons now, and Gobber seems to really want to kill it. Are we.... okay with this?>Yep.>But->Yep.
...Speaking of logical gaps, how the fuck was that treasure hidden without dragons?
Like I could see how someone with Stoick's build could reach all those places by sheer muscle strength, but if the one who hid the treasure was a hiccup?
And how did he build all of those levers too, those rocks are fucking huge!
and while we're at it why don't we also question how dragons can exist and Vikings wear horned helmets
Both of those were set up in it's universe, though. Hiccup, son of Krypton, wasn't.
It's fun to imagine how he pulled it off. Personal theory, he remained a virgin until his thirties and was a wizard.
Maybe he just dared some of his stronger friends?
Like "I bet you can't place this metal thing into that spire over yonder."
And his friends never put the pieces together.
Because they're Vikings.
Maybe he had help? Friends that weren't Hiccups?
>>41725898>he remained a virgin until his thirties and was a wizard.>"Nay father, I shall not lay with Dirtsa, for I am building an incredibly complicated series of puzzles to hide this realistic picture of us and a feather"
>>41726017>"Oh, and also gold. Lots of gold things. But don't worry, the puzzle is designed to collapse and destroy them before the one who solves this puzzle can be rewarded for his effort. This way, he can learn something important about himself." >"....You need to get laid, son."
...Is there any way they didn't use their dragons to excavate those rocks and get the loot?
I would kind of like to see how good of a leader he is.>"SIRE DRAGONS ARE ATTACKING!">"Then get inside the safehouse!">"WE CAN'T! YOUR FUCKING PUZZLES ARE TOO HARD!"
Just imagine the slaughter as everyone tries to get their weapons, when all along he rigged it so that you would die if you didn't go after the pen.
Because that's what would have happened, if Hiccup had gone after the hammer, he would have died.
Past-Hiccup was a fucking sociopath.
Oh yeah, they probably dug them up.
But Past-Hiccup had no way of knowing that would be an option.
That's what years of bitterness would get you, without having an avenue (like dragons) to direct your intelligence, and choosing puzzles instead.
>>41726381>"WHO BUILDS A PUZZLE LOCK ON THE BATHROOMS!? WHO!?" >"WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!?"
>>41726544>"KING COME OUT AND FACE US! WE ARE TIRED OF YOUR BULLSHIT">"Come and get me! But good luck! I'm behind 10,000 puzzles!"
...I'm not too clear on how that worked?
Like how did grabbing the feather prevent the rocks from crushing him?
And didn't Hiccup need Toothless to break his fall in the previous step?
...And who was feeding those tiny dragons?
...Fuck it, he WAS a wizard.
That is the only rational explanation.
>>41726593>"....we really should not have helped him build those." >"Hey, when someone double-dares you to move a giant rock and put it on a lever, you have to do it. It's like... a rule." >"....does he even have any food in there?" >"Yes, but I'm pretty sure he put them behind puzzles." >"Ah. Problem solved."
>>41726620>Like how did grabbing the feather prevent the rocks from crushing him?
He designed the cave to collapse around that one spot. And leave ONLY that spot untouched. So if the future Hiccup, like, stumbled or something, he would be fucked.
And we aren't even sure if the dragons were supposed to be there in the first place, they might have just dug their way in.
...Past-Hiccup was Jigsaw or whatever wasn't he?>"Would you like to play a game?">"...You're the worst chief ever."
You know I bet he had to test that design quite a few times.
...Oh holy shit, he is.
Remember that poor soul in the glacier? He knew this would happen. Just think about how fucked anyone else would have been sans dragons.
Past-Hiccup had problems.
(83.60 KB, 375x273)
>>41726642"Yer a wizard, Hamish!"
Hiccup the bloodthirsty.
Despite being a virgin and a weakling, he actually made his father proud.
Before he killed him at least.
I just read summaries of the plots of the books on the HTTYD wikia and let me say......the books are the most boring pieces of shit ever. The characters are so uninteresting and everything is bad. Thank god for the Dreamworks incarnation of this book series because the actual books are just boring, unpleasant, and just outright filled with the stench of pure uninspired mediocrity.
We must be grateful for the Dreamworks take on this book series. My god, Fishlegs was a skinny (not fat) berserk hybrid that swings between reckless/brave and ball-less character making him a total tool of a plot device, Toothless was a generic common variety lamest of the lame dragon and so tiny and small that he couldn't be ridden. Alvin was essentially team rocket, a guy who constantly is "blasting off away!" after his latest scheme (complete with disguises) fails as opposed to being a viking nemesis of Stoick who was vanished for his traitorous nature, Astrid doesn't exist in the books and the only prominent female is a girl from a different clan of vikings who are all dykes (trust me this isn't Wonder Woman's Paradise Island, its the ugly version), Snotloud is Hiccup's cousin and has murderous intent because if Hiccup dies he could become the next chief of Berk, etc.
Its just bad. Purely and honestly bad. Nevermind that the focus isn't really much on the relationship between dragons and humans, but more of the interpersonal issues the viking characters face and as such becomes a tad lame. I rather like the more bonding with the dragons concept rather than worry about random lame occurrences in the boring leads.
And now we know why all physical records of what he actually looked like were hidden away.
Nobody want's to remember that.
>>41727052>I haven't read them but they're awful
(24.20 KB, 500x320)
>>41727052>I just read summaries of the plots of the books on the HTTYD wikia and let me say
It's a bit harder to sympathize with him when you consider that he's led a lot of people to their deaths, so that what? Someone like him in the future could have their sense of self worth be validated?
Because a hiccup rose to power, and apparently dedicated his reign to puzzlemurder?
That wouldn't make me feel better at all, if my only predecessor was a psychopath.
I feel like this is going to be something that kids in the future are going to look back on and say "Wait, now that I think about it, that episode was really fucked up."
These were not non-lethal traps. Not only COULD they kill someone, we can confirm they killed at least one. This guy had to be the shittiest Chief ever.
It's a good thing Hiccup chanced upon Toothless, otherwise who knows what kind of fucked up shit he'd invent if he spiraled inward more?
(906.40 KB, 845x816)
Behold, the face of a true psychopath.
Who in the fuck thought this was a good idea for a tv series?
It's a middling animated feature with characters that are only watchable once and a plot that only works as a oneshot.
Only when there is no other animated cartoons out when it's in theatres can it even sell well.
If people are actually surprised that this isn't doing well then...damn.
He was good with building contraptions already....
Wow that's dark.
It is doing well in the ratings.
I never liked the cliche Twins That Hate Each Other. Or worse twins who share the same personality in this case its both cliches. They hate each other and that's their defining personality. It makes them SUCK as characters. It makes you wonder, why do we need two of them? Just one suffices.
The morons in charge of writing should take a look at Gravity Falls to show how fraternal twins can truly be impressive, entertaining, and separate characters in their own right.
The Boneknapper forgave him.
They never really bonded per se.
And if it was they wouldn't have pulled the "force people who don't want to watch it or care that it exists time slot change". Thing.
Think they're going to go to do a "Stoick attempting to date again with hilarious consequences" episode eventually?
Or are they saving that for a movie, for extra drama between him and Hiccup?
People are going to hate me for this but.
>End of movie, Hiccup and girl kiss and are totally together.
>Start of new show.
>LOL JK THEY ACTUALLY NEVER REALLY GOT TOGETHER BUT THEY STILL TOTALLY HAVE FEELINGS FOR EACH OTHER THAT BOTH ARE TO SCARED TO SAY TO EACH OTHER!
Really what the fuck is that bullshit? Not only does it fuck up continuity of the movie to show but it's also just adds more pointless drama and shitty plot cause the writers are too lazy to think of anything.

Compared to the same time period last year, average kids delivery grew by triple digitsâkids 2-11 by 128%, kids 6-11 by 148% and kids 9-14 by 109%.
So, yeah. Pretty damn well. The DC nation thing was just them being cocks.
That dragon had an actual vendetta with Gobber. And they WERE trying to understand it. They can't exactly control what Gobber wants to do.>>41725656
Hiccups are clever. And that one seemed to be a very adventurous one.
Maybe Hiccup was not the first Hiccup to learn there's more to dragons.
And a serial murderer.
>>41727769>That dragon had an actual vendetta with Gobber
They didn't know it was real. > And they WERE trying to understand it
No, Gobber was trying to catch and kill it. Everyone else was making sure it existed, and offered no objections to the 'kill it' part. The only one who believed him was Hiccup. >They can't exactly control what Gobber wants to do.
And Gobber wouldn't have kept them from bringing Toothless. Seems like a poor idea.
Jesus Christ, fandom Hamish II is the best thing ever.
You think he would have mentioned something like that in the note. Or... given any indication it happened at all.
It's just logical extrapolation.
That's because they are fraternal. Most times when shows do twins they are Monozygotic twins. Also most people don't know the difference of the two and just assume that all twins are Monozygotic.
Thechnically, ALL of those peoples were free to drop the trials at any point.
But Vikings are stubborn as fuck.
It's doing well.
Just not around /co/.
And fuck you, I love the characters and wanted to see them on more adventures since the fucking movie ended.
I would watch either.
The poem never said anything about getting your ass smushed by a giant ass hammer, though.
That is horribly misleading.
>>41727561>only works as a oneshot
You do know that it is based on the first book in a series, right?
Spur of the moment thing.
Before that kiss, she only gave him a rather meek kiss on the cheek.
The passionate kiss on the lip happened after he had woken up form a long-ass coma.
She just reacted.
I find their characterization in the show to be perfectly in line with their overall personalities.
Also, note that the GOTNF kiss was far more private, and technically takes place AFTER the series.
They were trying to learn it's mistrery. They can't exactly be bothered about Gobber wanting to kill it when they don't even believe its actually real.
As for Toothless, chalk it up to Gobber. HE was the one that wanted to go on a journey to find it.
He was the one that decided to take a boat.
They tagged alone and chose to do things the viking way.
>>41728312>technically takes place AFTER the series.
You sure about that? Stoick didn't have his dragon in that one.
Considering the fact that he was a Hiccup was completely lost to history, no. There probably wasn't any record.
>>41728411>He was the one that decided to take a boat.
Toothless could have fit on the boat....
Or, hell, Hookfang or one of the others could have flown next to it. >>41728435>There probably wasn't any record.
Except all those riddles and the personal note her left for the future Hiccup.
It certainly doesn't take place immediately after the movie, like the show does.
And the dragons are certainly a permanent part of the Berk society.
Hiccup is learning about them in order to integrate them in the show.
So maybe it takes place just before the Alvin episode?
That note was never going to be found until that Hiccup came, though.
And the Vikings hardly understood the riddles.
If he left clues about dragons in there, nobody would've gotten them.
The show does have some continuity snarl with the special.
Not everything lines up, but what does suggests the special is further down the line.
Yeah, you'd think he'd go down in history as the one who had tamed dragons.
As opposed to the one who killed people with puzzles.
I meant Hamish would have left something about knowing dragons to the future Hiccup, not past stuff. Or at least alluded to them in some way. Either in the note or the riddles, or even in one of those gold statues.
But nothing indicates he knew them from what Hiccup learned.
So, they actually beat out...nothing.
From what little I've seen of CN lately they've been showing commercials for it every other break and showing it multiple times a day.
I guess since there's fuck all else on they can claim that as some small victory.
And it's quite obvious they pulled that shit because they are desperate to keep their falling ratings steady.
That we know of.
That cave probably was filled with riddles about other stuff.
The fact that Hiccup Hamish went down in history not as a Hiccup indicates that he probably never integrated in the same way Hiccup did.
IF he ever knew more about dragons than his fellow vikings, it was a secret lost to history.
Or they're just trying to kill off DC nation.
Also->And it's quite obvious they pulled that shit because they are desperate to keep their falling ratings steady.
Would imply that DC nation was cocking it up in the ratings, so they put an actually successful show in there to staunch the failing ratings. That's just not true, either way. It's just CN execs being dicks.
