The series occasionally hints that she's at least part Asian. Her dad has those dot eyes that so often mean "Asian" in cartoons, and she can speak and read Japanese.

Two things to consider - the necks seem off, particularly in Ingrid's case, and the faces are slightly disproportionate (noses seem offsize, mouths seem misplaced, eyes seem to be drawing too much focus).

Fairly good for a rough sketch though.

I'm glad to see the internet has become a tad bit more sensitive towards cartoons featuring ethnic characters.

There was multiple internet petitions to get the show pulled off the air, simply because the main character was black, and his female friend was white.
