Dawn of War: Dark Crusade

So I've gotten into this game perdy well, and would consider it Starcraft on steroids, since it's pretty much as fun to play as SC but has tons more to it.  And so now, I post a few screenshots..!  Note that I resized'em to not clutter the page so much.



This was how the screen froze upon winning, while on the 'insane' difficulty at that, so I thought it was awesome enough to snapshot.  THE TAU EMPIRE SHALL NOT FAIL.

I too enjoy this game, even though Fyber can always beat me one on one due to the way Tau plays really really strong infantry and eldar has pertty damn weak stuff. It's pretty closer every time we jump up the teirs a little, my stuff can generally beat him unless he needles away enough before hand which has made for some tight matchups.
In bigger cases 2v2 or FFA or whatever, I'm an unholy terror though. Let me get some vehicles and warp spiders and various heroes and I can stomp on just about anything.

Here's a cool but ill fated shot of a map where I tried to take both him and Deck early on and got zerged.

If I had this game, I'd so play Ultramarines.

I played this over at a friends house, and my personal favorite is the Necrons. They are just so badass. Plus, they are hard to kill.

I just went into their base, and killed their dudes.  Then bombed their base and went home.

Wait until they get full Monolith. Then the genocide begins.

Here's another nice pic from the Fyber, Deck, and me 3 way a few days ago. I just finished hoseing fyber down with some nice Teir 2 eldar stuff and was taking the point at the rear of his base. It made for a nice shot when set up right, with that background and the banner and stuff just hanging around.

You should get that script Brad linked on the snack hunt forum which lets you hit shift-tab to hide the UI.

This idea came to me actual and whole, and I just had to do it, I wish I could have customized the paint scheme a little more for a while helmet, but alas it's all linked pretty tightly for the space marines, this is still pretty cool.


This is pretty well all you need to see to know, but it gets better. Names my base New Ozai?

hot on the heels of that, I have some good ones of my Eldar with the badge finally working. I particularly like the action shot of the Wraithlord.

Welp, fought against Boris 3 times, mostly cause my comp kept restarting. On the thrid, I put up a good fight, sorta, but he had the superior force.... with a tank. While I still had warriors and my lord. Boris = win. I must train now.

I took a ton of shots from the game and it is a pretty good replay, shadow does get a lot of trashing my stuff done but finally I push him away and get in an especially dramatic whomping on his necron lord forcing him to teleport away.
Hopefully this series of pics conveys the drama well.

The last one is particularly cool.  I also really like those structures there that have the beam coming out of'em.

I think the highlight of this one was me casting an eldritch storm so awesome it actually caused shadow's client to crash (see second picture) Really for most of this one I was the one hiding behind turrets at my base though. Fighting shadow is hard, you have to countermand the early numbers the necrons have, fortunately being eldar I have massive speed on him, and can just dance away and play a good range game. Unlike Fyber who's kroot make sure I have to play melee, and who I can't beat until teir 2 and some upgrades.
