Some, like Katamari Damacy, are strange, but my friend and I nearly died laughing at the Intro. Yet, it's a good game. But yes, Some are getting lamer, what with all the gore and profanity. And some games are all about adult and bad themes. Still, I think the good games that come out are awesome too. I'm kinda in the middle ground on this poll.

Are there lame games out there? yes of course, but they are not becoming any more common.  I don't think I've bought one lame game for this whole generation of systems and I've built my self a fairly large library.  But lame is a personaly thing, so I'm sure somebody would think all my nintendo games are lame cause they're not a GTA rip off.

Games? Getting lame? When did that happen? Oh yeah... about the time people stopped caring about content and started caring about graphics more than anything.

My immediate answer might be "yes", but I guess when I think about it, especially after having been messing around with an Apple II lately, is that there has always been really shitty games, no matter what console.  The video game market has exploded as of the last few years and all, leaving us with more and more games than any other time, but I'd assume the percentage of shitty games is probably around the same.

But if you want to count a game as especially lame from it having sex and violence in it just to make it sell, then I guess I could say "yes" to more games being lamer and lamer these days.

No. We still have the same good game/garbage game ratio that we had since the beginning of the vidergame era, the only difference is it's easier to tell which is which.

please, needless sex and violence to sell games has been around since fo-ever. It's just getting more realistic and harder to laugh off, so we notice it more, I guess.

As stated before the ratio of good to crap is about the same, so no, I don't see anything particularly different or worse about gaming in this era.

E.T. was the most famous of a flood of bad games.

Also, every Sega game I ever played totaly rocked.

I don't want to offend any Sega players, but I really dislike most of the Sega games.
