Racer
« on: August 28, 2006, 08:05:15 pm »
I thought i'd post some screenshots of a racing game I play called Racer free car simulator.  I'm not sure if you guys play many racing games but I've been involved with this project for about 3 years now and I think it's a cool game so I thought i'd share some pics with you guys.  By the way I chromed the corvettes rims (the vette is still in beta) and made the piantjob for the yellow Nissan 350Z.

As with most games I guess, the screenshots look like crap compared to the game.  They don't capture the anti-aliasing and all that pizazz.

Now I remember Fyber here making the Haz Labs-350Z before him and the Prof got into a knife fight.

It was pretty cool!

Yah, I'm a cross-over from the RSC(RaceSimCentrall) Racer communtiy.  Not as long as Silver_Ranger, but still a part.  I'm attemting to learn how to model using Racer as the platform(Racer not only being free, but also more open than most sims...).  I reccomend it to anyone who enjoys racing games BUT, only if you also like messing with lots of setting in text file to make it work.  Racer isn't really an "out of the box" kind of sim, but it is a good sim as long as you use good cars and tracks(the quality is dependant on the author).  But, as you can see by Silver's screens, it can be a very nice LOOKING simulation, plus a VERY accurate simulation, as well.  There are many kinks, and rhumors ultimate demise, but I say it's here to stay(for a while, anyway...).

By the way...another popular site for cars and tracks is www.racer-xtreme.com/ .

[00:48] <@FyberOptic> time to download 5790 spams
[00:49] <@FyberOptic> what a sad place the internet is to deliver so much useless data
[00:52] <@FyberOptic> 5790 porns would be such a much better use, for example
