RPG DUELS

I have an idea, spawned from a different forum I saw. It's where you declare a duel with someone or just ask for a combatant. Then, each person declare stats about themselves, and the environment as well, and the duel begins. PLAY is simple; say in your post what kind of attack you do. You can attack with a sword, a gun, or whatever weapon your character has. It is inportant not to be unfair as one has a sword and the other a sniper. Well, you can only say what you do...NOT whether you hit them or what they do. So, as some of you may realize,The attacked person decides whether he's hit or not. You can play until it gets boring or one guy forfeits. For some of you who are clueless, I'll post a sample battle here.

SAMPLE BATTLE WITH EACH ACTION AS A SINGLE POST:
P1(PLAYER ONE):Walks in and scans for the foe.
P2: Springs from behind a box and slices at P1.
P1:Sidesteps and stabs with a knife.
P2:Blocks attack with sword and springs back; notches an arrow for point-blank range attack.
P1:Slices bowstring.
P2: Nipped by slice, jumps back and throws debris on the floor at P1.
P1: Hit by debris, casts aside and lurches forward, swinging knife wildly.
P2:Jumps at foe.
P1:......(on and on until someone surrenders.)

As you can see, player one was only hit by that debris because he said so. You can be creative and imagine fancy weapons/attacks/responses. But please don't be gross, vulgar, gory, or acting all-powerful with your character.

Now that I've said all that........what do you guys think?

It's a fine idear in my mind, as we haven't had any RPG-related things since 1991.

I did this battle with wizkid yesterday. We took the characters from redwall. We did it in chatroom, although forums work too
