Alright, most of you here have had some experience with Warhammer. I've read lots of the books, read a few wikipedia articles, played DoW, and may get into the tabletop game. Last night when playing Boris in Starcraft I asked how intrested he would be in a Warhammer 40k Fyberverse and RP. I think I just heard Shadow mess his pants from here. I'd take a hefty crack at the system, run at least the first RP, and write a minimum of one short blurb. I suppose this is mostly an intrest check to see who would want to take a crack at some RP action in the 40k universe. I have a somewhat contrived, well, no I have at least three options for a group of varying individuals to meet up. Forcibly get along as well I think.

Name: Keep with the race, no Orkz name Sir William the Gentle-hearted.

Gender: No female orks, no gendered necrons. Just put neutral for necrons with a behavior patter they follow of being either male or female.

Race: Imperial, Corrupted Imperial, Ork, Eldar, Corrupted Eldar, Tau, Necron. If you want to play tyranid, you'd have to be a member of the genestealer cult maybe. I dunno, do some research on it, propose it and maybe then ok.

Class: Space Marine, Guardsman, Commissar.
Chaos Marine, Chaos Guardsman. Cultist.
Grot, Ork, Nob.
Aspect Warrior, Farseer, uhh, look up more for Eldar. Dark Eldar are included.
Fire caste, look it up.
Pretty much the only sentient ones are Pariahs, so make up a good reason why he's not with his uh, brethen.

Power of the WAAAGH!: Lets the Flash Git be empowered by the WAAAGH! 1d2, 1 Flash git is underpowered and loses 5 points in melee and ranged for three turns, 2 Flash Git is powered and gains 5 points in melee and ranged for three turns.

Class:
Time For Sum Dakka!: Loads a specialized, explosive, shell into the shoota, making the round explode on impact with the target. 1d2, 1 misses, 2 causes shell to explode inside target, causing 5 damage plus original ranged damage.

Sean... do you even know about 40k? Do you even come in the chat?

Your research is lacking. Space Marines go through lots of screening upon induction, not to mention mental conditioning as to not succumb to Chaos like a say, Guardsman. These guys are the pillars of the Imperium man, they are perfect examples of the justice of the Emperor and so on. They can have no faults like that. The screening process, like Boris pointed out, is very rigourous, they make sure nothing is missed like that.
Most Space Marines have a battlecry, except a few chapters. Some even go in singing praises to the emperor. Maybe you could play one of the Legion of the Damned, loyalist space marine corpse pretty much. But if you want to persist in your Xeno-loving ways (Scum) you can go with more of a Rogue Trader.

Also, why two ranged weapons? That makes no sense when it comes to down to a melee. "Never bring a pistol to a fight where your enemy can overwhelm you can cut you into pieces." Or something like that.

Race Ability - Alacrity of the Eldar: Sharp reflexes allows for quick responses to attacks. Whenever attacked, roll a 1d5. On 4 or 5, the attack is dodged and does no damage.

Class Ability - Confound: Combined use of the d-field, flip belt, and natural dexterity make the Harlequin extremely hard to place. Opponents must roll a 2 on a 1d2 to land a successful attack.

Battlecry: (Raucous laughter)

The Horror - Racial skill.  Psyker power.  A form of telepathy on the enemy, brings out intense fear in them to make them not attack and lower their defenses. 1d3, 1 failure, 2 defense is lowered, 3 target can't attack.

Psyker Blast - Class skill.  Psyker power.  A blast of Psyker Energy to knock the enemy back, 1d20.

Battlecry: Prepare the way for the Great Devourer!

Ok, so if this is all we gonna get, how are we exactly going to work togheter because A) We all hate eachother (race wise anyway) and B) Garshak is a damn Tyranid.

The Magus looks human though, it disguises itself as the other races to orchestrate the genestealer cult and bring down the other races from within.  So you don't know I am a Tyranid!

The thing is that the point of roleplaying is not to be mechanically correct. So if we were playing a game, we would overlook differences and work together for the sake of the RP being fun. If everyone hated each other, it wouldn't be that fun. And if you're going to claim otherwise or something, I'll give you a preemptive "shut up" so that i can save a post.

Alright guys, got a system thought up finally.

You get 50 points and four stats to put them in. Default weapon dmg is 1d10.

Health:

Melee Attack: Pretty much AP for your melee attack.

Ranged Attack: Pretty much AP for your ranged attack.

Armor: DP. Neuf said.

You also get 2 abilities, one racial and one class-based.
