True, Steve had tremendous knowledge of the animals he dealt with, and knew their capabilities. All that happened was that unfortunately a, like fyber said, normally docile and gentle creature got spooked using a normally injuring, but not deadly means of defense, and hit the enemies weak spot for massive enemy damage. As funny as that sounds, it's true.

I'm pretty sure Steve would have never wanted folks killing stingrays for killing him.  Even the one that did the deed.

Ya, that is too bad. I mean Steve would want people to respect stingrays space more with that accident, not kill them!
