What started as the original /co/rganizer trying to get /co/ to sing Let it Go has snowballed into Frozen General attempting to make a full-fledged album of Frozen song parodies. For this album to become a reality, we’ll need as many people to lend their voices to this ambitious project as we possibly can!

Basic guidelines

And neither does onion!Elsa, did you even read the comment?

She's overburdained and underloved (no clue about parents in this version) and she still has to hide her powers (the town adores her but not because of her powers) AND onion!Elsa also has that giant prophecy of YOU WILL KILL EVERYONE constantly above her head.

I always figured her mischievousness and playfulness came because she was rebellious (or tried to be) towards all the expectations piled on her so she became more impish as a rebellion against that

New question, do you think Hanz could possibly make a good new Disney villain? Like what if when he returns to the Southern Isles he trick one of his brothers who's a twin into getting the Ax for the assassination attempt on Elsa's life. New comes back to Elsa and Anna and they are relieved, but then at the next gathering of kingdoms they see Hanz there at the table but after a brief explanation of his family they believe him not to be the murderous Hanz but his brother and we see Hanz take on a completely new personality but WE the audience still now it's the same Hanz as before and that Elsa/Anna are being fooled. The tension between the audience knowing it's Hanz and them no knowing a think would be amazing!!

So, Frozen brought in its lowest total in weeks on Monday, dropping below $1 million for the first time since it expanded into a wide-release. The average was less than $250 per theater.

Is Frozen finished, /frz/? Is it going to avoid disappointment by bouncing back from swiftly diminishing returns? I saw in the last thread that Disney's getting so desperate they're running "See Frozen Again" ad campaigns to try to drum up ticket sales.

The first half was good, the second half sucked. That isn't how you write Tension in the 21st century. Thats how you write tension in the '30s, like when you see the protagonist with a ticking time bomb under his table. you KNOW they're going to get out of it simply due to the Tension being obvious. Your idea is better if they make it seem like its hans at first and the explanation comes along and things go as planned until a big reveal, while dropping subtle hints throughout the movie he's Hans. Frozen did this perfectly at dropping constant hints hans was the Villain which were subtle as all fuck.

I kind of see what you are saying, but then again this would be a film for kids, they may not understand too much subtly so somethings like "this is a wolf in sheep's clothing" scenario might help the movie move along.

Hmmmm think things would be more interesting if maybe someone got offed right off the bat. Who should it be Kristoff, Elsa or Anna. You have two princess so story wise it could go on and Disney has killed off major characters in the past.

Last time i checked Frozen was a kids movie and it had subtly up the ass. Hell, the whole fucking Agenda of the Movie is Gay relationships for fucks sake. And this scene with hans when Anna says Sandwiches. Look at this face, thats the face of a man whos thinking 'holy shit, could this GET any easier'. Or the one where he directs the Crossbow at the chandelier, you see him look up for a moment just before he goes to move the crossbow and the way he moves it is clearly aiming.

No offense buddy, but you have no idea how to write a story. As interesting as it would be to kill off a character, what need is there? What does it serve for the plot?

Disney played up the "Shitty Kids Film Vibe" to A) force parents to take the kids to see it, and then B) shock them by how good it ended up being.

At that point, word of mouth of blown away moviegoers starts spreading like wildfire, and Disney rolls out a new ad campaign playing up the good parts to further affirm this change in opinion.

Had they STARTED with making it look good, it wouldn't have nearly as much of a viral effect.

"Frozen" like "Tangled" as a name doesn't bother me all that much. It's kinda crap because it's meant to in a way, misrepresent the movie. On the other hand, it's such a small thing because ultimately if it gets butts in the seats with no more alteration to the film than it's name, then great.

As somebody who is also writing a book or two, I'd say no.

And actually, part of Hobbit: Smug's problem is that most of the new movie deviates from the book.

Hobbit 2 ispretty bad.

The dragon became a wyvernlike dragon to save costs, terrible cgi at times, not needed action scenes that took way too long, forced love triangle.
Armed dwarves get caught by spiders yet when Bilbo releases them they can suddenly take on the spiders with hand to hand combat.
It's 90% filler, it's crap.
The actor playing Bilbo is GREAT but even he can't the movie for me.

You can read the book in the same time as the 2 movies together.

Also that horrible barrel scene, there's a reason I'm currently in a mental ward.

I hope we see more of this in any future works. Elsa ruling, making decisions, fretting internally over the best course of action. A backdrop of war would be a great catalyst for this.

Plus we might get to see Elsa fighting again. I don't want her to become some superhero but I enjoyed seeing how she reacted in Frozen with her back up against the wall.

This is one of my gripes with the film. There's pretty much no discussion about how Elsa abandons her responsibility as the new queen. It's not so clear whether she plans to rule Arendelle from the North Mountain or if she just outright wants to hide up there and expects no communication with the kingdom.

Even when she comes back, she doesn't address her people or apologise or anything like that, she just makes an ice rink and apparently that's enough to end a film on.

>It's not so clear whether she plans to rule Arendelle from the North Mountain or if she just outright wants to hide up there and expects no communication with the kingdom.

Considering the way she flung her crown away and disintegrated her dress, I'd say the latter. It was a rash decision but she was overcome first by fear, then by the excitement of taking her powers for a proper test drive. If the movie had spanned more than a couple of days we might have seen her agonising over how she's abandoned her country, but in the short term she was enjoying her break.

The ending was quite brief but I can believe that the people were just glad to have their queen back. The excitement on coronation day suggested that Arendelle loves its royal family.

>We must purge the good earth from the taint of that creature, father.
>Every breath she draws is a further insult to the natural order created by God allmighty, it is wrong and vile.
>Father, can you not see the coldness of her forsaken soul which shall never know the rich flame of the righteous flame, father
>Father
>Father, what is wrong with you? Why are you so quiet?
>Oh, I see, your head hurts.
>here let me help with that, my dear father.
As Hans pulls his father upwards from his seated position atop the tall throne of the Isles, the father's skull drops from the flimsy old bones that once used to be neck and rolls down the many stairs to the floor.

As Hans goes down to retrieve it, he uncaringly stops on the bones of all his brothers, carelessly strewn across the floor without care for preservation or dignity. Hans' careless stride knows some of them away, pieces of his brothers and servants clattering in the empty halls, the sound revebrating from black walls.

As Hans moves back to the throne, having found what used to be a skull of his dear father but was now a little more than a charred piece of bone matter kept around out of madness in place where love once was. Hans shifted the skull nervously in his fingers, his erratic actions further damaging the already spent bone, as he muttered to himself.

Having returned the skull to it's rightful place on top of his dear father's head, Hans grinned as he stood more upright and saluted the mockery of a monarch. Flame burnt in his hands and his eyes as madness threatened to seep out of him.

Awww, that's so cute.

All that stood out my first viewing was in the middle of In Summer at the "winter's a good time to stay in and cuddle" part a little girl shouted "Puddle!" with such perfect timing that when Olaf said "HAPPY SNOWMAN!" it was like he was actively ignoring her. That part's funny enough on its own but it got a lot of laughs.

Can fire hurt Elsa?

Her ice dress is evidence that she can either keep ice indefinitely cool or she can keep her skin temperature below zero. If she made herself a set of ice chainmail and kept it permanently cold, could she resist Hans' flame attacks?

Similarly, would she be able to keep her ice spears cold enough to pierce Hans' defenses?

So is it.. decent, then?

Because I swear that, in terms of sentence structure and word choices, I usually tend to write better than this. This one has tone of repeated words and expressions and every single paragraph sounds the same. That's because it was initially only supposed to be the first few lines of greentext but I kept expanding it and expanding it untill I remembered the 2000 limit.

And I finally feel like I've contributed something (somewhat) meaningful to the threads

My sister told me that her daughters (8 and 12) had a big fight because the older one didn't want to take the younger to see Frozen with her friends, so my sister took the younger about an hour later. The older was waiting in the lobby for the younger and ran up to her and hugged her in front of her friends when she came out of the movie.

Frozen, bringing sisters together.

In magical fire vs magical Ice duel, both of their sources are magical. i.e. not natural. Because they are not natural they can't be extinguished so it just depends who would pump more juice into an attack, he/she would win melt the ice or freeze the fire.

It's grossed almost 800 million dollars so far, I'm sure disney is ecstatic.

For comparison:
Tangled grossed 590 million
Wreck-it Ralph grossed 189 million
Princess and the Frog grossed 104 million
The Lion King grossed 987 million
