The show was canceled with three unfinished episodes. In a 1995 issue of Entertainment Weekly, Ted Turner stated, "We have more cartoons than anybody: The Flintstones, The Jetsons, the Smurfs, Scooby-Doo. They're nonviolent. We don't have to worry that we're encouraging kids to kill each other - like SOME of the other cartoon programs do."

I firmly believe the way Family Guy portrays Ted Turner is 100% accurate.

God knows how close I often came to rushing off to the local junkyard to construct my own heavily armed fighter jet simply due to the influence of this cartoon.

Ted Turner may have very well saved each and every one of your GOD DAMNED LIVES.

Yes. Rather than creating a realistic or entralling animated enviroment for children to understand the harsh reality's of life we'll just kindly step over the issues and let children go blisfully unaware of anything about violence or sex so her parents don't have to put any actual work into raising their children properly.

Damn do I LOVE being a submissive pussy to a blind and bitching majority.

Was it MGM, Hanna-Barbera or someone else who had the rights to Johnny Quest and Tom & Jerry at that time?

Swat Kats didn't teach kids the harsh realities of life you tard. It was two cats flying around in a jet fighter killing dinosaurs. the best it would do is entertain them for a half hour. the worst it would do is entertain them for a half hour.

Yea I find that unusual. Kids can check out Edipus Rex, the guy who married his mom and killed his dad, yet you couldn't get away with that on Television.

Do they just assume children are too retarded to read?

impossible to do that.

Also they have all the source content at Adult Swims studios.
theoretically they COULD start showing the episodes again (even the lost ones) or even remake the show.

T-Bones fist ignites in an awe-inspiring punch sequence (rocket assisted) sending generic Henchmen 44 flying; however with his other hand he manages to catch the bastard with his opposite hand; he screams in fury as he rips the criminal clean in half, blood and entrails fly and splatter about. he then picks up a nearby mini-gun and proceeds to mow down an oncoming horde of what can only be described as devil spawn lead by Dr. Viper as it thunders down the docks toward him.
All to a metal as fuck guitar solo.

The thing I could never figure out is why they didn't try and make money from Swat Kats. It could have had comic books, a toy line, clothes, and etc. All we got were VHS tapes, a video game that sucks, and four action figures that looked horrible.

Gargoyles no. Monsters IMO not animals turned into anthropomorphic characters. In fact i think Gargoyles are usually portrayed as sentient bipedal creatures...i think.

Darkwing was cool but IMO SK was better

Why did they wear shoes as mechanics and not wear shoes when they were Swat Kats?
