The most recent ones I can think of are the Dark Disney thing and Mainport city from this past summer, but I know that there's a hell of lot more.

They're like The /co/mic /co/operative, Lovely Lady Bug gets published in it too.
The deadlines for submissions for issue #5 ended yesterday, but you could probably make the next issue if you wanted to.

DO IT! The production times between issues have been reduced so if you can get a basic script together for about the end of February/Beginning of March you should definitely be able to get in.

Doing stuff for Pulp has been super fun and I would recommend it to everyone.

Just about every time ever.

Whenever something actually gets done, it's usually only because of the toil of one person working on it.
I guess Pulp! is the exception to that, but if we're just talking about general creations, then that's how it goes.
People see others working on it and think "oh, someone else is doing it, I can just sit back and ask for progress reports every so often" and then nothing gets done because everyone assumes that and no one does anything.

I think that's what happened with /co/ntainment.

/tg/ has pretty much the same problem, except they can get by with keeping a project alive with just text based stories.

Main tactic is to wreck your shit with whatever powers her gauntlets decide to provide. I think it's zero point energy, but it varies depending on who is doing the writing.

Blue line is a hold over from traditional artists. You would do a rough sketch in blue then the final work over that in black. When the image was scanned the blue would be removed. They even sell non-photo blue pencils.

Even in digital works, it only takes seconds to remove the blue. The end result is a cleaner looking image.

I don't think it matters what continuity and universe a /co/ creation is a part of for there to be a crossover.
As long as the creators know each other and feel like doing it, there's no one to say they can't.

Personally I see Lovely Ladybug, Shark Lass, and Poison Dart as being in the same cluster of OCs.
Like they live within an hours drive of each other.
I supposed The Vanguard (or Awesome Man, I don't really know much about him, including what his name is supposed to be) could also fall in that cluster.

During his experiments with new tech, scientist Bartok Barlow found a way to give humans the ability's that most animals have. After his partner tried the process on himself and became horribly mutated, Barlow spiraled into a depressive state and felt as if he himself had caused the accident. After several beers and vodka shots, Barlow "fixed" the formula and mixed it with Fly genes in order to prove that his ways are not in the wrong. But after several painful hours after ingesting the formula, Barlow has turned into a horrible half man half fly creature. Now, he roams the sewers of Seattle, ready to strike at any moment in order to regain his humanity.

Russian teenager Yuri Kravchankov had always had a hard life. Solidarity: Made him as a joke character, his origin being a pizzaboy who got caught in the prototype tomato-paste decanner that his chain was trying out at his location. He now has the power to manipulate his own density, whether to become about the size of an eraser or as big as a Macy's Day Parade float. However, this does NOT affect his mass, so the smaller he gets, the less fluid he is, and the more invulnerable he becomes(he actually gets called a midget because he'll shrink down for combat so the bullets don't fuck him up). If he gets too small, he starts to cause damage to whatever's under him, and as he grows bigger, he can float to some extent and even dissipate to the point of passing through some materials.

However, his power has obvious drawbacks. While he can become faster and more limber the larger he grows, the bones become less cohesive and he's a bigger target. When he shrinks too much, it's impossible to move...plus being the same weight means that pretending to be an action figure's right out.

I'm thinking that he either got workman's comp for keeping silent about his accident...or that he got screwed out of it and his job, likely the latter.

Sky Slider Bounce:
Origin unknown, her ability is that of wall-forming. She can make 4 kinds: bounce, slide, stick, and normal. They can only be flat surfaces, square, and while she can make as many individual ones as she wants(and, eventually, use this to 'curve' her creations), she can only do it to a certain size(I'm thinking a square area that's her height on each side to start). She spends a lot of her time walking on air, using the bounce-fields to catapult her high in the sky, so her costume consists of a lot of warm clothes, probably whites, blues, and greys. If anything stands out, it'd be her scarf, though whether that's just a brilliant light blue or some other color, don't know.

When she's high in the sky, she freely perfects her acrobatics without fear, as the only way to fall is if she lets it. To get down, she uses the slide-field and grinds down it like a rail, and she gets pretty good with her manipulation of her fields.

While there's nothing up her loose sleeves when you look, she may suddenly pull a set of throwing knives from them that she's freshly pilfered and stowed away in a place only she knows, or a rocket launcher from her cleavage. She's sharp with her tongue as well, to the point that her remarks cut like a bandsaw. She has a default space she goes to, but with some concentration, she can access other places she's familiar with. Obviously, the only way to prevent her from teleporting to her safe spot out of any situation is to either catch hold of her actual flesh and anchor her in a way she doesn't want to risk herself, or find a way to expose her completely to light(She can generate a field inside her mouth and other areas, but for obvious reasons, she tries to avoid this).

I'll answer that question.

/co/ comes up with a cool idea, or someone on /co/ does, whichever, people like the idea is what matters, they remember it.
It'll get talked about and maybe some drawings will be made, but rarely does anything else come of it. This is for one simple reason: Making a comic is hard.

There's the writing, the drawing, the planning, the inking, the coloring, the team coordination (if you're lucky enough to not be stuck doing the whole thing single-handedly), and to top it all off it's never really "your" idea it's the groups idea even if you are the one doing all the work.

It's like when an old relative dies and their house is up for grabs, the house everyone in the family spent their childhoods at; everyone wants it but no one wants to pay for the upkeep and taxes.

His ability is simple: His actions and strengths(And maybe extra abilities) depend upon the music that he's listening to. A power ballad? He'll bust through your shit like the Kool-aid Man. Metal? He'll berserk even worse. Classical? He'll dance through a field of moving lasers with mathematical perfection. Jazz? That is one smooth motherfucker. There are so many genres though, and the inspiration for this character's that amped-up feeling I get when I listen to some stuff. Like Emo, Country, Techno, I've no idea what he'd do with those. I do know that bad Pop music makes him easy to predict but can also speed him up depending on the beat behind the music...or just stop him from being effective at all.

I know it would be fun, believe me. But we tried so hard to get artists involved, and they would either a) pass on it while giving us best wishes of luck, etc., or b) come on board, do a few things, then become inactive and leave the project.

And every time we tried to write something, talking about what should happen each "episode" ended up devolving into small-talk about the world we were creating, little details that didn't matter at that stage of the game, and so on and so forth. It was a nightmare.

I'd love to try doing it again, but before anything else happens, we need artists.

I know next to nothing about either character. If I were to guess, Poison Dart's the one to the left who appears to have a frog theme. I would figure both girls to rely more on external weapons than their own powers to fight. Based upon a cursory browsing of Wikipedia's article on dart frogs, I'd say that PD is immune to poisons, having the ability to ingest them and synthesize various chemicals through her sweat glands(and maybe salivate them as well). Her suit gathers this into her gloves and she can fire, spray, or vent the material through the white spots as she needs. I figure she might have a stickywhip to represent a tongue, and those 'eyes' taped to her helmet are actually potent smokebombs/teargas she preps for emergency escapes. How close am I to the creator's idea?

As the creator of Poison Dart, I really like your idea! You're not far off actually, she does uses frog based-abilities.
Things like stretchy tongue that she uses to grab, not grapple, powerful jumps/jump-kicks, potent poisons that incapacitate, an immunnity to poisons, slight webbing of feet and hands helping her to be a compitent swimmer in fresh water.
The notion of the poison pooling in her gloves is cool, i have thought about her having poison projectiles but i couldn't reallu justify the amount of poison it would take for her to accumilate to throw it.
The balls on her hat are just plain plastic balls, her costume is pretty makeshift

Well, the thing about the tongue is, it's still her tongue. She's tasting whatever she grabs onto, so maybe as a last-ditch escape mechanism. I figure that the more she sweats, the more poison she puts out, so lots of dodging while her shots recharge(she'd normally just store maybe 5 pre-packed shots per glove with 'emergency' shots being produced as necessary, and the little ping-pong balls filled with the aforementioned gas). She'd probably eat lots of dangerous foods too, like maybe fugu(according to Wikipedia, the Poison Dart Frog processes and collects other poisons rather than synthesizing its own).

Her tounge is very much a last resort action. She doesn't use it much to hang from, as some may imagine because her own weight underneath makes it extremley painful and yeah, the tasting of things would put her off haha.
Oh she also has some croaking powers, low and high frequency depending on the travel distance and on context. She also has very keen hearing and eyesight as frogs often do.

Certainly an interesting idea. Incidentally, you could also have some minor poison collection in her shoes, but that's up to you. A collection suit also has the benefit of making it so that her poison wouldn't get out of her control. I'd also be careful about the finger-webbing, as that'd be a pretty quick giveaway in regular life, might want to leave that to her gadgets.

Other than as a call though, or a trump-card in a burping contest, what would the croaking power do for her? Or are you having that amplified into window-breaking vocal blasts?

Well, she has a little magical frog-buddie that she can call, also her allies I suppose; It would be quite a unique noise. A loud exlosive one could get her out of a tight squeeze of some kind.
She's not a gadgeteer though, her costume is just a bunch of stuff stuck together which sort of reflects her tech capabilities and her identity doesn't worry her much, she lives alone, has a foster family who are mostly ignorant of her heroisim and she is pretty careless about keeping it a secret.

Web-fingered gloves are pretty readily available, and yeah, getting a collector suit working with duct tape, spit, and hope would be a bit tricky, but I think it'd be mostly just getting a properly colored sealed websuit, the gloves, and then figuring out how to make the wristguards(and possibly ankleguards if you wanted that too). Perhaps a sponge around the wrist to soak up the poison that collects, with a press-button mini wetvac to collect the poison into a disposable capsule?
